Doha, Myanmar Airways International (MAI) proudly announces the launch of its new route, connecting Yangon, Myanmar, to the dynamic capital city of Doha, Qatar. This strategic move, set to commence on 30th of July 2024, marks MAI's second venture into the Middle East, following its successful existing route to Dubai.
The primary goal of this new route is to provide passengers with a reliable connection to an extensive network of destinations through a popular transit hub, catering to global travelers. This launch signifies the inaugural route of MAI's ambitious 2024 network expansion plan, further solidifying its role as a key player in fostering global travel connectivity.
To facilitate its entry into the Qatar market, MAI has appointed Trans Orient Travel & Tourism, a subsidiary of Mohamed Bin Hamad Holding Company (MBHHC), as its trusted General Sales Agent (GSA) Trans Orient Travel & Tourism will play a pivotal role in overseeing MAI's sales, marketing, and promotional activities in Qatar. In addition to providing comprehensive customer and travel agent support, Trans Orient Travel & Tourism will collaborate closely with local trade partners to strengthen MAI's presence and offerings within the market.

MAI will operate flights to Hamad International Airport (DOH), Doha, two times a week, every Tuesday & Saturday. This schedule aims to accommodate diverse travel preferences and further enhance passenger accessibility to a broader range of destinations.
